Pain everywhere (older version)
Behind the enigmatic-sounding name fibromyalgia is the name of a chronic, non-inflammatory disease that affects women in particular. The Greek word fibromyalgia translates as: Muscle fiber pain condition. The disease exclusively affects the soft tissues, especially the transitions from muscles to tendons. It manifests itself in severe muscle pain, fatigue and tiredness, but also in numerous vegetative complaints such as depression, allergy, water retention, numbness, etc. Although the disease is not life-threatening, sufferers can suffer so much that they are no longer able to work. But this can be prevented! With the 10-point self-help program in this up-to-date guide, it is possible to get the disease under control. The more actively the patient deals with it, the greater the prospects for relief and healing in the long term! This book is the completely revised new edition of the successful Southwest classic. Lipedema
Lipedema: Recognize in time and treat correctly. Effective help without surgery Softcover
Millions of women in Germany suffer from lipedema. These fat deposits in the subcutaneous tissue, especially on the legs, are not only an aesthetic problem for those affected, they are also accompanied by severe pain. Women are sensitive to touch and are prone to bruising from even minor bumps. It is important to recognize lipedema early and not dismiss it as cellulite or a purely cosmetic problem. Dr. Thomas Weiss was one of the first doctors to develop effective methods: Decongestion through vacuum massages, special massage techniques as well as compression treatments. In combination with this, he recommends a change in diet and explains how the right sport can alleviate the symptoms. In this book he presents a 14-day self-help program including recipes.

Lipedema and Cellulite
Lipedema & Cellulite
Effective help from the TV doctor
Millions of women in Germany suffer from it: from the so-called lipedema, fat deposits in the subcutaneous tissue. The well-known physician and author Dr. Thomas. Weiss has been encountering this phenomenon increasingly in his practice for some time now: women with severely swollen limbs are increasingly coming to him because he was one of the first doctors to develop effective methods to combat lipedema. Lipedema leads to swelling, pain, irregularities and/or thickening of the skin, especially on the thighs. There it often also comes to the so-called "orange peel phenomenon", "cellulite", a rather aesthetic problem. Even small bumps in everyday life lead to bruising and especially in the area of the inner thighs, inflammation easily occurs as the skin chafes. In this book, Dr. Weiss explains this still little-known but widespread and unpleasant condition and describes suitable treatment methods: decongestion through vacuum massages, special massage techniques and compression treatments. In addition it recommends a nourishing change and medicamentous measures. At last, those affected will find a competent guide to their problem.

Swaying vertigo/Dizziness
Dizziness without findings (25 min.)
Dizziness is one of the most common complaints that additionally plagues patients with functional diseases. Most people suspect an impairment of the organ of balance behind these unpleasant complaints. But in many cases, a visit to the ear doctor is accompanied by disappointment: "There's nothing wrong with your ears! You have nothing!" For those affected, this is often shocking. Does the doctor perhaps think that their vertigo is faked?! This part is mainly about a special type of vertigo: the so-called "phobic vertigo", which lately is mostly called "somatoform" vertigo. Not infrequently, a vertigo attack also leads to shortness of breath and palpitations, hyperventilation.

Irritable bowel syndrome - false alarm in the belly
Irritable bowel syndrome - false alarm in the Kelly
Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is a common complaint characterized primarily by the following symptoms: abdominal pain, usually better after bowel movements. Change in stool frequency (Too infrequent or too frequent or alternating) Change in stool consistency (soft to diarrhea or hard to constipation or both alternating) Bloating or tightness in the abdomen. Treatment is often unsatisfactory. A large proportion of patients simply resign themselves to the symptoms because they believe that nothing helps anyway. Others go from doctor to doctor and still get no help. In the film it becomes understandable what irritable bowel syndrome is, what happens in the body and what kind of therapy actually helps.
Hyperventilation and panic
Hyperventilation and panic
The heart beats faster. Fingers and toes go numb. Fear creeps up. A lump seems to stick in the throat. A hoop closes around the chest. Then hands and legs begin to twitch. The hands cramp, the arms bend, the legs stretch as does the back. The shortness of breath gets worse and worse. You pull open the window to get some air. But the faster you breathe, the worse the shortness of breath becomes. The lumpy feeling becomes more and more oppressive. The heart races! The dizziness and lightheadedness gets worse and worse. Panic spreads. Mortal fear sets in. The paramedic arrives, the driver goes to the hospital with blue light and there he finds - nothing! Everything is all right. This is how a hyperventilation attack or a panic attack can happen.
